Dec. 5th 2017 Day 2 of blog
Hi everyone, universal wisdom and light of the world!
Fasted 13 hours from bedtime to 1pm today. Drank only lemon water and plain water with an iodine pill (b/c of using sea salt rather than iodized commercial salt). I felt good about that and then took a tablet of St. John's Wort, an anti stress plant put out by Vogel, half an hour before eating a single avocado and 3 peeled and soaked raw almonds. That was it until late dinner of roasted chicken in a salad of avocado, romaine, steamed broccoli with mayo and olive oil and sea salt. That was satisfying but later ended up eating 3 small shortbread cookies (store bought ) and was happy I could stop at 3. After that has about 50 grams of these other worldly organic Turkish figs, soft and sweet. And that is it for the night. Again I hope to sleep right through the night and eat only after 12 hour fast. Will go to my fun Zumba gold class in the morning. It's exercise I look forward to. Happy to be through day 2 without too much damage done and getting lots of ideas from health videos like: besynchro.com about avoiding oxalates, phytates, saponins and lectins and ways to minimize them in food by sprouting or pressure cooking. and boiling potatoes and letting them cool before eating because this method gives them least - only 0.8 grs. - resistant starch, which is not even digestible starch, so won't cause blood sugar to spike and even improves insulin resistance, making potatoes once again good for me to enjoy.
